Lawless's Hotel & Holiday Village is wonderfully set in Aughrim on the edge of the Wicklow Mountains. Originating in 1787, this charming family-run hotel has been tastefully renovated.
Aughrim is a beautiful village, set in the heart of County Wicklow. There are many fine buildings in Aughrim, the oldest being Morrissey’s shop, where the original Post Office was located in the village. County Wicklow is a land of majestic mountains and spectacular valleys leading down to a magnificent coastline of golden sandy beaches. South Co. Wicklow offers some of the finest hill walking countryside in the East of Ireland and the hotel has produced their own guide to some of the most popular routes in our area, supplied to you with compliments.
Situated in the picturesque award winning village of Aughrim, nestling in the heart of the Wicklow Hills, the hotel offers a tranquil rural retreat only an hour's drive from Dublin. Facilities surrounding the hotel include a 4 acre man-made angling park offering fishing all year round and superb walking country. Wicklow also boasts 22 of the country's finest golf courses. Along with the individually designed rooms in our hotel, the hotel also offers 28 luxury self-catering town houses with a river bank setting, available adjacent to the hotel.

Table d’hôte and à la carte menus are imaginative and varied, taking full advantage of fresh local fish, game and vegetables. There is also an extensive wine list.
The Thirsty Trout Bar and Snug Lounge are popular local meeting places. Here you will find the local angler, sheep farmer or football team enjoying an excellent pint with visiting guests from around the globe. The convivial atmosphere of the genuine Irish country pub certainly prevails.
By Car:
- Travelling from Dublin, take the N11 towards the South-East.
- Bypass the town of Bray on the M11 and rejoin the N11 heading south towards Arklow.
- Drive into the town of Arklow.
- Do not take the bypass around town.
- Just south of Arklow, you will reach a roundabout at the top of the main street, where you should follow signs for Aughrim and Woodenbridge on the R747.
- The reception for the Holiday Village is located in Lawless's Hotel, which is in the centre of Aughrim beside the bridge.
